Fernando Lumacad (right) and his new management team are looking forward to revitalizing his young fight career.

Lumacad has figured in a number of career-defining bouts but has yet to register a win in a very important match. Lumacad’s three losses were dealt by top tier fighters – former world title contenders Wandee Singwangcha and Goofy Montes, and current WBO super bantamweight titleholder Jorge Arce. He also has a draw with the recently crowned WBC super flyweight Suriyan Sor Rungvisai.

Working with a new management headed by Jim Claude Manangquil of JM Promotions and Dexter Tan of SanMan Promotions, Lumacad is looking forward to get another chance to fight on a world stage and earn a title shot in the near future. Lumacad was managed by Ken Smith of United States before signing with JM Promotions.

“Lumacad is a different fighter now,” Manangquil told this writer. “He is more determined, more focused to become a world champion.”

“He has the tools but not the dedication,” Manangquil added. “Lumacad is now dedicated and is ready to take on all the champions from 112 to 115.”
