Timothy Bradley knows that Manny Pacquiao is the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world, but the American boxer is confident that he can defeat the Filipino champion.
Bradley, who has never tasted defeat in his 28 fights, confidently said that he will destroy Manny Pacquiao in their scheduled 12-round bout for Pacquiao’s World Boxing Organization welterweight title on June 9 in Las Vegas.
“Tune in on June 9 when I destroy Manny Pacquiao,” Bradley said during his media workout on Tuesday. “I don’t know if it will be a knockout. I’m not a prediction kind of guy but I know at the end of the fight, I will have my hand raised. I am going to be the winner, plain and simple.”
The undefeated American vowed that he will make the most out of the once in a lifetime chance to fight a great boxer, which is the reason why he trained so hard for his upcoming fight against Pacquiao.
According to Bradley, he sparred for a total of 160 rounds during his three-month training and he feels that he is in the best shape of his life. Bradley also expressed confidence that he will be making the 147-pound weight limit before the official weigh-in.
“I am in the best shape of my life,” Bradley declared. “I have been training for almost three months now. I am on weight. I am just eating a little bit more and I feel great. I am confident and I am ready to deliver.”
Bradley also said that he is aware of Pacquiao’s great speed and power and he promise not to repeat the same mistake he had during his bout against Kendal Holt, who dropped him on the canvas in the first round before taking control of the fight.
Meanwhile, Pacquiao is also set to wrap up his training and have already gone through hundred rounds of sparring. His camp is planning to leave for Las Vegas on Monday and is also confident that making the weight won’t be a problem for the eight-division world champion.
